
For Bhairavi, dance is in her blood. She was born with anklets. Her mother being a Kuchipudi artiste and her aunt, an accomplished Bharatanatyam teacher, Bhairavi was initiated into Bharathanatyam in her tender age of two while she stepped on the stage as Baby Krishna in the dance ballets of Sridevi Nrithyalaya. She is trained in Bharathanatyam under the direct tutelage of her Aunt Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and she did her Arangetram on October 23rd, 2013. She has featured in all the leading dance productions of Sridevi Nrithyalaya. Bhairavi is fortunate to travel widely in the country and abroad performing this divine art. She also represented Sridevi Nrithyalaya (India) in the Cultural festival at London Olympics in 2012.
Bhairavi is a recipient of the BAL SHREE award (2013), constituted by the Govt. of India as the highest scheme of honour for young achievers in various fields. A final year student of Sociology, Bhairavi is also a graded artiste in Doordarshan.
