Harinie Jeevitha
N. Harinie Jeevitha is a dedicated artist who has been learning Bharathanatyam since the age of six from Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan. Harinie had her Arangetram on August 27th, 2006 and has been performing extensively since then. Apart from proving her forte in Bharathanatyam in many esteemed Sabhas in Chennai, she has toured all over India and abroad performing with her teacher’s troupe.
Harinie is a recipient of the BAL SHREE award (2009), constituted by the Govt. of India as the highest scheme of honour for young achievers in various fields. She has received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India under the ‘Scholarship to Young Artists Scheme’ (2015-16, 2016-17). 'Yuva Kala Bharati' (Bharat Kalachar), 'Guru Sarasa Ammal Award' (Sri Krishna Gana Sabha), 'Gutty Vasu Memorial Prize for the Second Best Dancer' (The Music Academy) are some of the prestigious awards and accolades that she has received. Harinie is also an ‘A' grade artist in Doordarshan. She holds a bachelors’ degree in English Literature and has completed Masters in Bharathanatyam.
